Planting Instructions

1. Best Time to Plant:
   • Sow seeds in early spring after the last frost or in late fall for natural stratification.
2. Soil Preparation:
   • Coreopsis thrives in well-drained soil and tolerates poor soil conditions. A slightly sandy soil with a pH of 6.0–7.5 is ideal.
3. Sow the Seeds:
   • Scatter seeds on the soil surface and press them lightly into the ground, as they need light to germinate. Space seeds 8–12 inches apart.

Watering Tips

• Germination Stage: Water lightly and consistently to keep the soil moist until germination, which takes 7–21 days.
• Growing Stage: Once established, water only when the topsoil is dry. Coreopsis is drought-tolerant and prefers well-drained conditions.

Growing and Maintenance

1. Sunlight:
   • Plant in a location with full sun for 6–8 hours a day. Coreopsis also tolerates partial shade but may produce fewer blooms.
2. Fertilizing:
   • Minimal fertilizer is needed. Over-fertilizing can reduce flower production. Use a balanced fertilizer sparingly if necessary.
3. Deadheading:
   • Regularly remove spent blooms to encourage continuous flowering and maintain a tidy appearance.
