1. Seed Preparation

Gently scarify the seed by rubbing one side with sandpaper or a nail file until the outer coating becomes slightly thinner. Place the seeds in warm water (25–30°C) and change the water daily. Seeds usually germinate within 7–21 days.

2. Preparing the Planting Container

Use a shallow container without drainage holes. Fill it with heavy garden soil or aquatic planting soil. Avoid potting mixes containing large amounts of peat moss, bark, or perlite.

3. Sowing the Seeds

Place the germinated seeds gently on the soil surface and cover them lightly with a thin layer of soil (about 0.5 cm). Slowly add water until the soil is covered with 2–5 cm of water.

5. Water Requirements

Keep the soil continuously submerged in clean water and maintain a stable water level throughout the growing period.

6. Temperature

The ideal germination temperature is 25–30°C, while the ideal growing temperature ranges from 22–35°C.

7. Transplanting

8. Fertilization
